Equally important for an overseas buyer: a wrong instrument is not a small problem. Returning a mis-specified transmitter across a border costs more than the transmitter. So we build to the datasheet rather than to a catalogue approximation, we certify and document precisely, and we check the paperwork before the crate leaves — because paperwork that does not match the goods is the single most common reason a shipment sits at a port.

Process instrumentation. Qatar is a concentrated market, and the concentration is the point. The North Field expansion and the associated LNG trains, the petrochemical and fertiliser plants at Mesaieed, and the power and desalination stations account for most instrumentation demand. Buying is overwhelmingly project-led and datasheet-driven, which suits a manufacturer willing to build small quantities to specification rather than sell from a catalogue.
Packing and sealing machinery. Qatar has invested heavily in food security and domestic manufacturing since 2017, and dairy, poultry, bakery, beverage and pharmaceutical plants have been built or expanded across the country. Every one of those lines finishes with strapping, carton sealing and wrapping — the equipment our Packing & Sealing division builds.
Because almost everything is imported, the practical questions a Qatari buyer asks are about documentation and lead time rather than price alone. We answer both in writing before the order is accepted, and we build to the datasheet rather than to an approximation — a wrong instrument in Ras Laffan is a long way from a spares cupboard.

Documentation is where an export order is won or delayed, and Qatar has its own requirements. Every consignment we ship carries a commercial invoice and packing list that match the goods line for line, a Certificate of Origin, material test certificates for wetted parts where the datasheet calls for them, and traceable calibration certificates for the instruments that need them.
Qatari conformity runs through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and, for regulated products, the Qatar General Organisation for Standards. Registration is completed by the Qatari importer; we supply the technical file, test certificates and declarations required and liaise with the appointed inspection body. We say this plainly rather than promising to "handle it", because a supplier who claims to issue a certificate they cannot issue is a supplier whose container gets held.
