Equally important for an overseas buyer: a wrong instrument is not a small problem. Returning a mis-specified transmitter across a border costs more than the transmitter. So we build to the datasheet rather than to a catalogue approximation, we certify and document precisely, and we check the paperwork before the crate leaves — because paperwork that does not match the goods is the single most common reason a shipment sits at a port.

Process instrumentation. Egypt has a large and varied process industry: refineries and gas processing, ammonia, urea and phosphate fertiliser plants, cement works, iron and steel, aluminium at Nag Hammadi, sugar, textiles across the Delta, and a substantial pharmaceutical sector. Industrial development around the Suez Canal Economic Zone and Ain Sokhna has added new plants alongside a large ageing installed base.
Packing and sealing machinery. Food processing, sugar, edible oil, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods manufacturing all pack in volume for a domestic market of over a hundred million people, plus export. Strapping machines, carton sealers and wrapping machines sell steadily, and price sensitivity is high — which suits Indian manufacturing.
The practical hurdle in Egypt is not the specification but the paperwork. Exporter registration with GOEIC is a genuine prerequisite and cannot be arranged the week the container sails. We tell buyers this at quotation stage, and where an Egyptian buyer prefers, we supply through an established trading partner who is already registered — which is often the quicker route for a first order.

Documentation is where an export order is won or delayed, and Egypt has its own requirements. Every consignment we ship carries a commercial invoice and packing list that match the goods line for line, a Certificate of Origin, material test certificates for wetted parts where the datasheet calls for them, and traceable calibration certificates for the instruments that need them.
Egyptian imports require the exporter to be listed on the GOEIC importer/exporter register before goods can clear, and certain products need a certificate of inspection at origin. This is a real requirement and it takes time, so we raise it at quotation stage rather than at shipment. We supply the technical file, test reports and origin documents the registration and inspection require. We say this plainly rather than promising to "handle it", because a supplier who claims to issue a certificate they cannot issue is a supplier whose container gets held.
