Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written plainly rather than in legal language.

What we collect

What you tell us: name, company, mobile number, email address, delivery address and the details of your enquiry when you submit an RFQ, a quotation request, a contact form or a chat message.
What your browser tells us: pages visited, approximate location from your IP address, device type and referring website. This is ordinary web-server information.
What we do not collect: we do not ask for and do not store card numbers, bank details, passwords or any government identity number through this website.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation
To process, pack and dispatch an order
To raise a GST invoice, which the law requires us to keep
To provide calibration certificates, test certificates and after-sales support against your order reference
To improve the website — which pages are useful and which are not

We do not use your details for anything you did not contact us about.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with our courier or freight forwarder so your consignment can be delivered, and with our accountant and the tax authorities as the law requires. Enquiry and order data is not sold, rented or traded to anyone. We do not pass your details to other manufacturers or to marketing lists.

Third-party services this website uses

Form delivery: enquiry forms are transmitted through a third-party form service so the message reaches our sales inbox.
WhatsApp: if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
Web hosting: the site is hosted by a commercial hosting provider whose servers keep ordinary access logs.

Cookies

This site uses cookies and local browser storage to remember your selected delivery location, the contents of your cart and your recently viewed products. These are functional — the site would work poorly without them. You can clear them from your browser settings at any time.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for up to two years so we can pick up the conversation if you come back. Order records, invoices and certificates are kept as long as Indian tax and company law requires.

Your choices

Write to sales@vedikainstruments.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. We will reply within a reasonable time.
