A pressure instrument measures the force a liquid, gas or steam exerts inside a pipe, tank or vessel — and turns that force into a reading you can act on. In any plant, pressure is one of the most critical process parameters: it tells you whether a pump is performing, a filter is choking, a boiler is safe, or a batch is running to spec.

Pressure Gauge

The most widely used mechanical instrument for monitoring pressure in pipelines, pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, boilers and process plants. Available dry or liquid-filled, in brass, SS304 and SS316 wetted parts, with dial sizes from 63 mm to 250 mm and ranges from vacuum to 1000 bar. Built to EN 837-1 with the socket directly welded to the case for long, leak-free service.

Diaphragm Seal Gauge

Designed for corrosive, viscous, crystallising or hygienic media where a conventional gauge cannot be used safely. The welded diaphragm keeps the filling fluid fully separated from the process, and the seal can be supplied threaded, flanged or flush-flanged with SS316L, Hastelloy, Monel or PTFE-coated wetted parts, built to EN 837-3.

Pressure Transmitter

Key factors before selecting a pressure instrument

Pressure Range

Pick a range suited to your operating conditions — the normal working pressure should sit between half and two-thirds of full scale. Over- or under-sized gauges hurt both accuracy and service life.

Process Media

Air, water, steam, gas, oil, chemicals or corrosive fluids each demand different wetted parts. Aggressive, viscous or crystallising media need a diaphragm seal rather than a bare bourdon tube.

Accuracy

Automation, calibration and lab work need higher accuracy (0.5% or better) than general monitoring, where class 1.0 or 1.6 is standard and more economical.

Connection Size

Choose the right BSP, NPT or custom process connection, and confirm bottom, back or panel mounting so the instrument fits your installation without adapters.

Dial Size

Multiple dial sizes (63 / 100 / 150 / 250 mm) for clear visibility — larger dials for high-level or distant mounting, smaller for panels and machines.

Material

Brass, SS304, SS316 or other corrosion-resistant materials to match the environment, both for the wetted parts and the case where the ambient is aggressive.

Temperature

Ensure suitability for your high- or low-temperature process — steam and hot media need a siphon, and ambient extremes affect both the fill fluid and the accuracy.

Vibration

Oil- or glycerine-filled gauges are recommended for vibration, pulsation or mechanical shock; they damp pointer flutter and dramatically extend gauge life.

Frequently asked questions

Which pressure gauge is best for industrial applications?

For most industrial duty a bourdon-tube gauge in stainless steel with glycerine filling is the best all-round choice — it handles vibration and pulsation, resists corrosive ambients and holds calibration for years. Where the media is corrosive, viscous or crystallising, a diaphragm seal gauge is the correct choice instead; where the reading must reach a PLC, use a transmitter.

Digital vs mechanical pressure gauge — what's the difference?

A mechanical gauge uses a bourdon tube or capsule to move a pointer — it needs no power, is rugged and is ideal for local indication. A digital gauge uses an electronic sensor and LCD, giving higher accuracy, selectable units, peak-hold and data stability, which suits calibration labs, testing and QC. Many plants use both: mechanical in the field, digital for verification.

When should I use a diaphragm seal gauge?

Whenever the process would attack, clog or crystallise inside a normal gauge — acids, alkalis, slurries, pastes, viscous fluids, or hygienic duty where dead legs are not allowed. The diaphragm, in a wetted material chosen for your media, keeps the process off the measuring element while transmitting pressure through the fill fluid.

Where are differential pressure gauges used?

Across filters and strainers to show clogging, across pumps to confirm performance, in air handling units and clean rooms to monitor filter condition and room pressurisation, in dust collection, water filtration, and for level measurement in closed tanks by DP.

Can Vedika Instruments provide OEM and customised instruments?

The rules, in plain language

When are coins credited?

After the order is dispatched and the GST invoice is raised. Cancelled or returned orders have their coins reversed.

What is a coin worth?

1 coin = ₹1 against a future order. Coins have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or transferred between accounts.

Is there a limit on redemption?

Yes — coins can cover up to 10% of the taxable value of a single invoice. The balance stays in your account for the next order.

How long are coins valid?

12 months from the date they are credited. We tell you on WhatsApp before any balance is about to expire.

Do coins apply to GST or freight in the invoice?

Coins are applied to the taxable value, and can also be used against freight and packing charges. GST is always calculated on the value after redemption, as per rules.

Can two of our plant locations pool coins?

Address FAQs

Questions about billing and delivery

Can my billing and delivery address be different?

Yes, and for most plants they are. We raise the invoice on your registered GST address and dispatch to the works, store or site you nominate.

Which GST is charged — CGST/SGST or IGST?

It depends on your billing state. Within Haryana it is CGST + SGST; for any other state we raise IGST. Either way it is e-invoiced with IRN so your credit is clean.

Can I add multiple plant locations?

Yes. Save as many delivery addresses as you need — each can carry its own contact person, gate timing and GSTIN where applicable.

Do you deliver to project sites without a store?

Yes. Give us the site engineer's mobile number and a landmark. For remote sites we confirm the transporter's last delivery point before dispatch.

What about export consignments?

Tell us the consignee, notify party and port. We arrange seaworthy packing and the export documentation your destination customs requires.

Is my address information shared with anyone?

No. Addresses are used only to invoice and dispatch your order, and shared with the transporter only to the extent needed for delivery.
